Women’s Council of FTUK Elects a New Chairperson
Today marked an important event for the women’s trade union movement. Members of the women’s councils of the sector committees of FTUK elected a new Chairperson of the Women’s Council of FTUK.
A total of three candidates ran for the post, and 16 people voted. Following an open ballot, two rounds of voting were held. In the second round:
- 6 votes went to Rysgul Babaeva
- 10 votes went to Iren Isakova
Ultimately, Iren Isakova was elected as Chairperson of the Women’s Council of FTUK, with Rysgul Babaeva appointed as her Deputy and Venera Ryskulova as Secretary of the Women’s Council.

Commitment to Women’s Rights in the Workplace
Greeting the participants, Salamat Boyonov emphasized that the Women’s Council of FTUK is one of the key structures of the trade union movement, responsible for protecting the interests of women in the workplace.

The Women’s Council of FTUK will defend the rights of women workers by advocating for equal working conditions.”

A New Chapter for the Women’s Council
In closing, the new Chairperson, Iren Isakova, thanked her colleagues for the trust placed in her and noted that the Women’s Council will continue to work actively on addressing the pressing issues facing women in the labor field.
