The Sanatorium “Kyrgyzstan” has a capacity of 86 beds and is located in the Ala-Archa Gorge, at an altitude of 1,450 meters above sea level, 26 km from Bishkek, in Malinovka village, Alamudun District. The sanatorium covers a land area of 25.83 hectares. Its territory borders the mountain foothills on the east and the Ala-Archa River on the west.
Among all the dormitory buildings on the premises, the post-infarction ward, built in 1960, with 48 standard-category beds, is the primary facility used for its intended purpose.
Additionally, some rooms in Dormitory Building No. 7 are used as sleeping quarters without amenities, offering 32 beds, as well as separate rooms in standalone buildings, providing 6 standard-category beds.
During the summer, if necessary, Dormitory Building No. 8, with a capacity of 21 beds without amenities, is also utilized. However, Dormitory Buildings No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4, with a combined capacity of 58 beds, are in emergency condition and are not in use.
Currently, to ensure the rational use of the sanatorium’s territory, the Academic Consortium “International University of Kyrgyzstan” (AC “IUK”) has proposed a phased construction and renovation project on the premises. This initiative involves the establishment of a joint LLC, where the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan will hold a 51% share, and AC “IUK” will hold 49%. To facilitate long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation, AC “IUK” has prepared a set of documents for the establishment of this joint entity.
