The Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan, Muradil Dzhumadilde uulu, is participating in the 15th General Assembly of the Turkey’s Hotel Restaurant and Entertainment Workers Trade Union (TOLEYIS), a member of the TURK-IS Confederation.

The delegation from Kyrgyzstan also includes the chairman of the Trade Union of Workers of the Forestry Sector of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ayazbek Kydyrgychev, and the chairman of the Central Committee of Workers of the Agro-industrial Complex and Municipal Agricultural Workers, Niyazbek Duishenov.

The aim of this conference is to unite and foster solidarity among workers, protect the rights and interests of those in the field, and exchange experiences.

The General Assembly is being held in Istanbul from May 24 to May 26, 2024.

It should be noted that the Turkish Trade Union of Hotel Business, Restaurants and Entertainment is a member of the International Union of Food, Agricultural and Hotel Workers (IUF) and is part of the Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions.

The International Union of Food, Agricultural and Hotel Workers is a global federation of trade unions that includes workers from every link in the chain of food production — “from plow to plate” (covering food, tobacco products, and agricultural goods). It comprises 407 member organizations in 126 countries.

The Central Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of the Agro-industrial Complex and Municipal Agricultural Workers, as well as the Trade Union of Food and Processing Industry Workers of the Kyrgyz Republic, are member organizations of IUF. The deputy chairman of the Trade Union of Food and Processing Industry Workers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Elmira Dzhunushalieva, is the titular representative of the IUF Executive Committee for the Eastern Europe and Central Asia region.
