On May 18, 2024, in Bishkek, the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan (FTUK), on the initiative and with the personal participation of its Chairman, Muradil Dzhumadilde uulu, held a large-scale trade union marathon titled “Health and Unity.”
A Celebration of Sports and Unity
The sporting event was dedicated to:
- The 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region
- Labor Day on May 1
- The upcoming 100th anniversary of the trade unions of Kyrgyzstan
Participants of the Marathon
The marathon gathered over 1,000 participants, including:
- An adviser to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic
- The deputy director of the Directorate for Sporting and Mass Events and Youth Affairs “Jashtyk”
- Members of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic
- The FTUK Chairman
- Public figures
- Chairpersons of the Republican and Central Committees of FTUK
- Trade union activists
- Residents of the capital
- Professional athletes and active lifestyle enthusiasts
Marathon Route and Awards
All participants ran a 5 km distance along Cholpon-Ata Street, from Ankara Street to Chuy Avenue.

A festive show program featuring various artists was organized for all marathon participants.

It is worth noting that this sporting event was organized by members of the Youth Council of FTUK, which was established relatively recently.
