Former employees of Bishkek Teploenergo municipal enterprise, L.Y. Sharipova and M.B. Jumalieva, turned to the Trade Union of Public Utilities and Entrepreneurship Workers of Kyrgyzstan regarding their unlawful dismissal.
According to the complainants, they had worked at Bishkek Teploenergo for over 20 years. In March of this year, they were transferred to another organization and subsequently laid off. Their employer not only failed to offer them a position but also did not pay the compensation due to them.
In search of justice, L.Y. Sharipova and M.B. Jumalieva sought assistance from the Trade Union of Public Utilities and Entrepreneurship Workers.
With the union’s support, a settlement agreement was reached, and on July 19, 2024, the Leninsky District Court (case No. GD-2394/24B1) ruled to overturn Bishkek Teploenergo’s dismissal order and awarded more than 200,000 KGS in compensation to each of the claimants.
As of today, L.Y. Sharipova and M.B. Jumalieva have received their legally entitled compensation.
We would like to emphasize that the trade union always acts in the interests of protecting workers’ labor and social rights. If you face a similar issue, we are always ready to help you!
